I'm currently at COB Speicher in Iraq (been here since 21st of September). Presently, my internet access is considerably limited, but I'm doing alright other than that.
Some units have wired Internet in their rooms; we're wired but not connected. Some people pool funds and get satellite Internet; so far little progress among my group has been made in that direction. I can get online at work, although that's heavily firewalled/filtered and occassionally after work which has fewer restrictions. I can't get my personal laptop online yet, though, and I can't get online in my room -- both of which suck.
I ordered some more memory for my laptop so hopefully I can run enough virtual machines under VMware that I'll have a fake network to occupy whatever freetime and help me avoid boredom.
It could have been a lot worse, but so far it's not too bad. Although I doubt there'll be too many l33t developments coming out of voidwarranty.net any time soon based on my current situation.
